I can give you more..

My workshops are not intended to give you the step by step instructions to make one sample painting. The workshops are intended to show you techniques and then to show you how to USE them in practice applications while making the sample painting.

I hope, that if you like my artwork, you can learn from those techniques and then start applying them to your own voice by mixing and matching them to various art explorations you have in your own studio space. But there is more…

Painting completed using the skills and information the “Expanding on Color” online workshop. There are two different versions of this workshop available now.

Here is what I don’t think a lot of people understand: If you purchase one of my workshops that includes coaching, I am available for you daily, to help trouble shoot, offer guidance and feedback WHILE you make those exploratory abstract paintings! I am not selling workshops to help you make the sample and then shut the door. Here is why I don’t like the idea of painting once, and moving on:

Close-up images of two paintings. Each painting was painted using the same workshop details. (Expanding on Color.)

Different problems arrive during every painting. As you paint, you will learn how to troubleshoot each issue and subsequently hone in on your personal style and “hand”. Painting the class sample one time usually does not make a lasting impression on your work….the processes need to be repeated. Like any skill you learn.

Keep this in mind if you are considering one of my online painting workshops. I am not writing one and done “trend” workshops (unless you want it to be!).. the workshops are all loaded with tangible content to help you make gallery ready abstract art to hang, sell or show (or all three!)
