Grape Expectations

I make a lot of blue paintings.. I love blue..I am comfortable with it..and I think my style lends itself to a lot of variation within the blue category…but occasionally I stretch out and decide to paint with a different palette, hence the primarily purple hued piece below.

I always take pictures of my art while it is in process. If I have to drive somewhere, I carry the art on my phone so that the next time I come back to the painting, I have an idea of where I want to go next. Having the art on my phone also helps me see the painting in “different light”.. which helps me to break any roadblocks I am having along the way.
