Which Workshop Should I take? I have the answer!

Many people email me and ask me which workshop they should take first. I bet it is one of the most common questions I receive from art students. If you are looking for online art workshops from my catalogue, here is what I can tell you. Read below:

EDIT May 8, 2021: I just launched the quintessential acrylic color class! “Expanding on Color” is a new and improved version of our 2009 Color class, simplified and with updated, beautiful content! This workshop is really exciting and valuable to artists of all levels. Click here to read the info about the class.

The biggest workshop I have ever filmed is the “Expressionism Vol 2” online workshop. It features practically every technique I know, in about 6 hours of beautiful video, across 4 abstract samples that you can paint start to finish. Take this workshop if you meet any of the following criteria:

You’re just starting to learn about painting.

You want to make your paint glow with radiance.

You need help learning how to use your supplies.

Take this workshop if you can notice techniques in the samples that you would like to reproduce in your own practice.

You want to expand your library of techniques to better your own practice.

You want the biggest value for your dollar.

This workshop features the most techniques, with the most in-depth painting instruction.

Also- don’t forget: All of my workshops come with ME. Personalized help via email of the private Facebook group. I’m literally like a painting coach for everyone!

My “Caught Up in the Layers” workshop is a 3 sample workshop. The workshop is shorter and the information is simplified.

Take this workshop if you have painting experience already.

Take this workshop if you need inspiration on what to do with your existing practice when you “get stuck” (although I help students get “unstuck” in all workshops).

Take this workshop if you need things explained to you in a direct, short, numerical format.

Take this workshop if you do not have a specific “Julie Prichard” painting you are trying to replicate the technique from.

Take this workshop if you have some basic understanding of troubleshooting your artwork.

Take this workshop if you have enjoyed the “Caught Up in the Layers” book which outlines my process and you would like a video demonstration of the information in action.

Finally, the new BRIGHTS! workshop is heavy on one thing- painting bright, glowing, layers. All of the workshops have this information included in them already, but this workshop is an intensive bright workshop. Take this workshop if you need extra help mixing the brightest colors possible. The material in this class differs from the “Expanding on Color” material in such that the “Expanding on Color” class is much more in depth on color mixing and color theory than the BRIGHTS workshop.

I hope that helps guide your decision! I have a collection of workshops on sale now. The sale will be ending when quarantine restrictions are further lifted in Southern California. You should take advantage of the sale, and please know that there are no time limits on the workshops. You can watch them whenever you want! You should also know that in my online Facebook Group (private, for all of my students), I answer questions daily! So, it’s kind of like having your own personal painting coach!

I’d love to paint with you. Click here to see the full workshop catalogue.
