Feeling static..

talk about dry air around here....

Thank you so much for all of your feedback on yesterday's tutorial! I am really happy to see a post bring "lurkers" out to comment. So great to know you're here! I've fielded questions on paper storage via email before, but I don't think I have ever shown a picture of my system. The best part about my system for filing paper is that it doesn't cost any money...but brace yourself, it aint pretty:

Drawer 1

I have two drawers of paper. Here is the most frequently used drawer.. My favorite part is to imagine I am a game show host reaching into a huge drum of contestants.. you never know what you're going to get if you dig around in there.

Drawer2

The second drawer holds die cuts, vintage finds and specialty paper that can't get bent. I don't fish around in this drawer; I select carefully.

I also have about 30 sheets of 12x12 paper that I keep in a standing file in my closet. Not that much... All of this brings up a good point: If I could be elected the Ralph Nadar of papercrafting, I would do it in a heartbeat! Friends, stop buying stuff. You don't need every specific supply on every project list you come across. Trust me, I made the mistake a couple of years ago buying everything I could get my hands on. You're already creative- that's why you're here. Use what you  have! Work your inner MacGyver! I know you can do it.
