Julie Prichard is NOT an IT professional, she is an artist and workshop author.
Julieprichard.com and these online workshops are hosted on Squarespace/Vimeo which have 99.9% up time. Please use this guide to help troubleshoot on your end any technical issues you may be having.
BEFORE ATTEMPTING ANY OF THESE TROUBLE SHOOTING TIPS, PLEASE REBOOT YOUR DEVICE AND MAKE SURE ALL UPDATES HAVE BEEN INSTALLED. (This cures almost every problem we test.)
If the problem persists:
Login/Password Issues
Passwords are case sensitive. We recommend that you copy and paste all passwords into the designated areas instead of trying to type them manually. The password for the Workshop website is located in your digital download (aka Handout). The password for each video is located directly beneath the video. Once you enter the video password, your browser should remember it for future use. Users cannot change their passwords once assigned.
Site Not Found, or Link Issues
A common mistake is misspelling my name in the website address. Please know there is no letter “T” in Prichard. In addition, we strongly encourage you to copy and paste the link into your browser rather than try to type it out manually. Even better, we recommend that you use the handout digitally so that you can simply click on the included links.
You may also receive this error message if your browser or operating system is not up to date. Please double check to see if your device needs any software updates. It is also suggested that you first try a different browser (Safari, Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge or Firefox for example) and if necessary a different machine to confirm the error.
Video Playback Issues
All videos are compressed and tested prior to upload. Video files are not downloadable. A high speed internet connection is required to view them properly. From the gear icon at the bottom right of each video, users can control playback quality. If your playback is jittery, please try a lower playback quality. Closed Captions may be turned on or off by toggling the icon on the bottom of the video player. Captions are auto-generated.
If you have tried all of these suggestions and the problem persists, send a screen shot including the address bar of your browser to julie@julieprichard.com and we will attempt to recreate the issue.
